What is a Black Soldier Fly?
Nature's Remarkable Recycler
The Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) is a beneficial insect found in many parts of the world.
Unlike common houseflies, adult Black Soldier Flies do not bite or sting people and are not known for spreading disease. Their larvae play an important role in natural ecosystems by helping recycle organic materials into valuable biological resources.
